About 6 months ago, when the latest version of Wealthy Affiliate known as WA Platinum was released, there was a decision to do away with the step by step guide to internet marketing known as the 8 Week Action Plan.

This training guide was replaced by a "getting started guide" within each of the different categories of training.

So, if for example you wanted to focus solely on pay per click marketing, instead of having to go through the broad 8 Week Action Plan, skipping through stuff about article marketing and SEO, these "getting started guides" would allow you to get directly to what you want to focus on. This would help you learn what you need to learn faster and more efficiently reducing information overload.


Not everyone was happy about the removal of the 8 Week Action Plan and Kyle and Carson decided to bring it back in the form of the new WA Action Plan.

The new plan is step by step, time released plan that gives you an overview as well as action based assignments that you must complete before moving on to the next lessons.

It is more suited for beginners who want to get familiar with the whole concept of affiliate and internet marketing first. Having a time released plan with action steps would allow you to take action, ask questions where support is needed and analyze your progress before moving on to the next step.

So what's in the plan?


The plan touches on the basics of internet marketing:

• how it works
• how to get started
• time management
• niche research
• setting goals and choosing a direction
• promoting affiliate programs with free methods 
• promoting affiliate programs with paid methods
• ...with email marketing
• building websites
• and  a lot of other stuff

I'd suggest that if you're a complete beginner to internet marketing, then this should be your starter guide when you join Wealthy Affiliate.
