8 Good Reasons Why You Shouldn't Join Wealthy Affiliate

Although I believe that anyone who wants to make money online or increase their affiliate marketing income will find a home in Wealthy Affiliate, I will admit that Wealthy Affiliate isn't for everyone.

Those who fall into the following categories need not sign up but if you would still like to be a part of an incredibly informative and fun community, I'll be the first to welcome you on the inside.

Still thinking about it?

Here are 8 good reasons you shouldn't join Wealthy Affiliate.

  1. You're already making a minimum of $50,000.00 per month online, have your own product and a sound understanding of how internet marketing works. The purpose of Wealthy Affiliate is to teach people how to get to where you are at and there are members who are now experiencing this kind of success.

  2. You're so generous that you absolutely LOVE donating your money to the Google Adwords Charity Coop. (That's not a real organization but maybe you think PPC is a charity that needs your money.) Wealthy Affiliate members aren't so giving since they eventually take the time to learn how to do PPC the right way.

  3. You really expect to get rich by next weekend. Hmmm, so what's happening next weekend, huh? Trust me, its not going to happen that quick. Save your money or else have some realistic expectations. Getting rich online takes time, even if you have all the resources available to you.

  4. You're really lazy and quite happy with making $0.78 a day reading emails and doing surveys for Amazon gift cards. Funny, because you actually spend half your day trying to see if you could make more than you did yesterday.

  5. All you want to do is "promote" your MLM company in which you make a measly income from. You don't know what this affiliate marketing is all about but you're so "fired up" about your MLM that you think its so much better than anything else.

  6. You want the work done for you without you lifting a finger. Ok, good luck with that!

  7. You love your job so much, your boss treats you like he owes you something, and the pay is real good too. You're so lucky, you actually have the time to have a job and have a life. You never complain about the economy...why would you ever want to quit your job?

  8. Your name is Damien Speck aka Crazywaters. *snicker* *chuckle* (Inside joke, sorry.)
Ok, so if your name is Speck or you fall into any of these categories then keep reading my blog. If not, then consider signing up with Wealthy Affiliate and drop by my WA Space and leave me a talk message.

Top 7 Highlights of Wealthy Affiliate: Part 7 - Wealthy Affiliate 3.0

This post is the final in a 7 part series leading up to Wealthy Affiliate's 3rd birthday. The series features 7 of the brightest & buzz heavy moments over Wealthy Affiliates 3 years.

#1 - Wealthy Affiliate 3.0 Upgrade

During its 3 years Wealthy Affiliate, a membership site that was started by two college students in September 2005 has gone through many changes and updates.

Believe it or not, when Wealthy Affiliate was started in 2005, its biggest strength was that it offered keyword lists. During the Google Cash era of PPC, this would have been a very good angle and a huge benefit to members but definitely not the same in 2008.

Presently, Wealthy Affiliate has come a long way and can be seen as an internet marketers dream resource with almost everything you would need to use as an internet marketer.

Their biggest updates would have undoubtedly be the WA 2.0 upgrade and the latest WA 3.0 upgrade being the biggest by far.

Since I joined Wealthy Affiliate about 3 months after the WA 2.0 upgrade, I really cant say much about it but in my opinion it would seem likely that the WA 3.0 was much bigger celebrating a much improved Wealthy Affiliate.

Members of Wealthy Affiliate were definitely excited over the upgrade as we now had a brand new interface with a dashboard we could personalize by dragging and displaying the modules we
wanted to see. The forum also had a facelift with the option to revert back to the old board.

The upgrade also bought better user networking; WA Spaces was revamped and the site moved onto a more Web 2.0 style. The brand new Wealthy Affiliate home page also reflected this.

As for the features, the 6 week course was updated into a more completed and comprehensible step by step 8 week action plan and all the supplemental tutorials were also updated and new ones added.

Over the following months, new features were added very frequently including some of those on this countdown that helped to enhance Wealthy Affiliate 3.0 and the member base grew exponentially.

Comparing the pre WA 3.0 that I was used to, it definitely seemed like a whole new site and was much more enjoyable to be a part of as I continued learning how to build an internet marketing business.

Wealthy Affiliate has come a long way and they are still continually adding to the site, making it the best and most undervalued internet marketing membership available anywhere online.

The owners, Kyle and Carson, promise that there is still much more to come for Wealthy Affiliate. With a membership fee as low as $29.99 per month, most other internet marketing training resources that cost much more, cannot match the value that exists at Wealthy Affiliate.

The Wealthy Affiliate 3.0 upgrade is the biggest moment for Wealthy Affiliate in the 3 years that it has been online and this culminates the series.

Top 7 Highlights of Wealthy Affiliate: Part 6 - Site Rubix Launch

This is the sixth in a 7 part series leading up to Wealthy Affiliate's 3rd birthday. The series features 7 of the brightest & buzz heavy moments over Wealthy Affiliates 3 years.

#2 - Site Rubix Launch

First it was free website hosting for every member of Wealthy Affiliate. At that time when WA Hosting was unveiled, Kyle and Carson hinted that there was something big coming to Wealthy Affiliate.

How big?

Well, webhosting is one thing. Every internet marketer needs webhosting for their landing pages, blogs and niche websites. But more importantly, they need those landing pages, blogs and niche websites - thats how the money is made.

One of the biggest moments for Wealthy Affiliate was the launching of Site Rubix. Kyle and Carson announced that they would be rolling out an internet marketers dream webdesign resource - a drag and drop program that would speed up web development for many and was so easy to use. Commissions for promoting Site Rubix would be huge.

The frenzy began. Site Rubix results started popping up in Google in less than 2 hours, opt ins were being collected and The Warrior Forum was infiltrated. Oh yeah, I was part of that covert operation to inform the Warriors about Site Rubix and it was so much fun.

The sweet part about Site Rubix though was the price. With Kyle and Carson insisting that commissions would be worth hundreds of bucks, members were concerned that they would have to pay hundreds also for membership.

Turns out, Kyle and Carson really wanted to help Wealthy Affiliate members and on the day of the Site Rubix launch, everyone had to pay...

Nothing! Site Rubix was free. Free to all Wealthy Affiliate members.

So what about those big commissions?

Site Rubix would also serve as a secondary entry point for signing up for Wealthy Affiliate so the price was a recurring $29.99/month for new members.

Site Rubix itself was very impressive except for a few bugs which comes with all new software but sites went up very quick and I even have a couple that I host on WA Hosting as well.

With this new tool in place and accessible to all Wealthy Affiliate members, the #1 marketing resource on the internet was becoming more and more a self contained community where you would need not much else to become successful.

All in all, the Site Rubix Launch was a very memorable moment at Wealthy Affiliate.

When I talked to Kyle earlier this month, he mentioned that Site Rubix 2.0 was expected to be out by Wealthy Affiliate's third birthday but they had to push back the date so the new and improved Site Rubix will be coming to Wealthy Affiliate in early 2008.

What was the biggest moment at Wealthy Affiliate? Be sure to check back tomorrow when it will be announced.

Top 7 Highlights of Wealthy Affiliate: Part 5 - Hot Niche Giveaway

This is the fifth in a 7 part series leading up to Wealthy Affiliate's 3rd birthday. The series features 7 of the brightest & buzz heavy moments over Wealthy Affiliates 3 years.

#3 - One Million Dollars/Year Niche Giveaway

The latest buzz at Wealthy Affiliate is Kyle and Carson's $1,000,000.00 Blueprint in which they gave away one of their campaigns that they use to make millions of dollars in commissions every year.

Not only did they give away the niche but they also gave away the whole deal. The Blueprint includes:
  • Subniches
  • Promotion Angles
  • Keyword lists
  • Article marketing low competition keywords
  • Multiple Turnkey Feeder Review websites (just plug in your affiliate id)
  • A training manual
  • A proven product that converts as low as 1:10
  • A discussion forum (support)
With the research already done, this is helping many new affiliates at Wealthy affiliate and there are already loads of success posts in the Blueprint forum.

As Kyle and Carson continue to help affiliates earn their first commissions online they create a win-win situation for themselves and this only happens in the best internet marketing resource online, a membership site with a 3 year track record of creating successes - WealthyAffiliate.com.

The two best Wealthy Affiliate moments remain and will be revealed over the next two days before Wealthy Affiliate's 3rd birthday.

Top 7 Highlights of Wealthy Affiliate: Part 4 - $500 & $1000 Challenges

This is the fourth in a 7 part series leading up to Wealthy Affiliate's 3rd birthday. The series features 7 of the brightest & buzz heavy moments over Wealthy Affiliates 3 years.

#4 - $500 & $1000 Challenges

Wealthy Affiliate members always get excited whenever Kyle and Carson gives away money. Whenever this happens the the quality of posts shoot way up and they almost read like the latest Clickbank make money ebook, the difference being you can get this info for free.

The first of two challenges, the $500 Challenge started last May when Travis Sago declined to take his $500 winnings for being the top affiliate during the Who Loves Money Launch. Kyle and Carson decided that they would challenge Wealthy Affiliate members and give the winners the $500 instead.

The Challenge was whoever could offer the most value in a single forum posts would win the $500 prize. "How to" guides, success stories or other detailed methods used in your everday marketing were all options you could take.

The $500 Challenge produced some great results that would be popular for months to come. Stuff like "Websites and Landing Pages So Easy even A 10 Year Old Can Do It", "3 Days On Google Frontpage With 30 Minutes of Work & Proof & "Dominating The SERPS with Squidoo! For The Bums" were very popular as people learned about easy web design and getting their Squidoo lenses to rank higher in the search engines.

But it was the post "How The Heck Do I Find Something To Promote?" that won the $500 prize. The author, Thad Roe instead opted to go to Las Vegas to meet Kyle and Carson when they gave him the option during the announcement of the winner. The announcement offered a few surpises as two other members recieved $200 each for their incredible posts.

The $1000 Challenge was the second challenge and this ran from January 22 - April 7th, 2008.

This challenge was a little different. The focus was marketing technique for promoting Wealthy Affiliate. This would be a forum where persons could get ideas to promote Wealthy Affiliate and possibly qualify for the incentive of winning a trip to the annual Wealthy Affiliate conference in Las Vegas.

The $1000 Challenge was equally exciting and created some incredible posts as well.

My submission of "TV Traffic!" was a really out the box promotional method which was duplicated by many and recieved the third prize when the winners were announced. I won $250.

The second place winner, Marcus had two submissions and won $250 also for "The 'Widmaer Technique'" and "Make A WA Sale A Day Without Promoting Wealthy Affiliate".

$500 went to Canuck for his "Bum Marketing for Newbies - Step by Step" a post which really helped newbies get their WA promotions up and going.

These challenges really created a lot of value in the Wealthy Affiliate forum and are still hugely popular. Both forums are filled with so much valuable information than your $29.95/month could pay for. Hopefully, Kyle and Carson has more challenges in store for the future.

Stick around for another exciting Wealthy Affiliate moment in part 5 of the series coming tomorrow.

Top 7 Highlights of Wealthy Affiliate: Part 3 - WA Gold & Sharing Zone

This is the third in a 7 part series leading up to Wealthy Affiliate's 3rd birthday. The series features 7 of the brightest & buzz heavy moments over Wealthy Affiliates 3 years.

#5 - WA Gold & Sharing Zone: More Value For Less

Their objective was to improve the quality of the forum and increase user participation which would in turn produce more productive affiliates who knew what they were doing.

A system, sort of an economy where users would be paid just for being members and information would be shared more willingly and freely among members.

Nothing like this exists anywhere online which really makes Wealthy Affiliate a truly unique and valuable gem.

On Tuesday, July 8th, 2008, the latest addition to Wealthy Affiliate was the implementation of the WA Gold System where members could reward other members for help, support and posting information of value to them and the rest of the community.

Wealthy Affiliate members were excited about this new feature and some were even shocked that Kyle and Carson were putting up their own money every month to give away to members.

See, the WA Gold system allows you to cash out for real money payable to your Paypal account when you reach the payment minimum amount. This benefited every single member of the community and would be just another way to make money just by being a member or paying for your Wealthy Affiliate membership.

The Sharing Zone was also launched alongside WA Gold. The searchable system where members could share their own ebooks, videos and tutorials of value to internet marketers allowed people to rate, discuss and even give WA Gold to the content creators. Several members are paying for their membership with WA Gold by creating Sharing Zone content.

Since both systems were implemented, the Wealthy Affiliate forum has never been so alive with increased user participation and the quality of posts have improved. There is just so much to learn at Wealthy Affiliate.

Stick around for another exciting Wealthy Affiliate moment in part 4 of the series coming tomorrow.

Top 7 Highlights of Wealthy Affiliate: Part 2 - Who Loves Money Launch

This is the second in a 7 part series leading up to Wealthy Affiliate's 3rd birthday. The series features 7 of the brightest & buzz heavy moments over Wealthy Affiliates 3 years.
#6. Who Loves Money Launch

In April of 2007, Kyle and Carson had already had 2 successful ebooks, Beating Adwords & Inside The List and the Wealthy Affiliate membership site. They were about to release Who Loves Money - a book that would shed some light on some low cost to no cost techniques that they themselves used as affiliates to earn millions of dollars per year in commissions.

They unveiled their plans to WA members and set up the Who Loves Money bootcamp, a training resource for members to promote the ebook. with the techniques learned at Wealthy Affiliate, members quickly set up their campaigns using bum marketing and PPC so that they could get opt ins ready for the launch.

It was the first time I'd ever participated in a prelaunch and I learned some stuff that would prepare me for future prelaunches. Not only that; I also learned some stuff that opened my eyes to targeting the right customer and finding marketing angles. The Who Loves Money Bootcamp had put me in 'shape'.

This was only my 4th month as a Wealthy Affiliate member and I posted my biggest success post in May after the release of Who Loves Money. My "First $1000 Month - No Adspend" post would go on to inspire many newbie marketers who still dig up the post every month to thank me for giving them hope.

Who Loves Money itself was launched on May 1st 2008 and was recieved with mixed reviews and a bit of controversy involving Ewen Chia, who had given a testimonial for Who Loves Money.

The quality of the material showed itself though as members quickly put the techniques to use and some amazing results were posted the first day and all through the first week.

The highlights of the book included:

  • Slow Roller technique for Google Adwords - actual results were posted on the forum the very first day of release by someone who resurrected old campaigns to try the method.

  • Kyle and Carson's $60/minute success story which as I can remember was duplicated by a newbie who had their first $1000 day. He had joined Wealthy Affiliate only 5 days before Who Loves Money was released and had never made a sale online.

Overall the Who Loves Money Launch was one of the liveliest moments for Wealthy Affiliate in 2007 and a great learning experience for many new marketers and myself.

You can read my review of Who Loves Money on this blog and stick around for part 3 coming tomorrow.

Top 7 Highlights of Wealthy Affiliate: Part 1 - Rapid Writer

Next week, on Sept 10th, Wealthy Affiliate will celebrate its 3rd birthday. Few paid online memberships in this industry ever make it this far with the kind of growth & success Wealthy Affiliate is having.

This is a testament to the quality product that Wealthy Affiliate represents. Over the years, Wealthy Affiliate has been growing exponentially and Kyle, Carson and the members of WA has been constantly adding tremendous value to the community.

Resources necessary for internet marketing productivity are being added on a regular basis and Kyle promises that there is much more to come.

I've been with Wealthy Affiliate since January 2007, one and a half years into its existence and quite pleased with my experience there. I've seen Wealthy Affiliate go through most of its changes and been there to welcome most of the additions.

So for the next 7 days leading up to Wealthy Affiliate's 3rd birthday, I'm going to go through 7 of the biggest highlights of premier destination for internet marketing success, Wealthy Affiliate. These highlights were responsible for a lot of buzz inside and outside of the site and anyone who has heard of Wealthy Affiliate may recall some of these events.

#7 - Addition of Rapid Writer.

On May 6th, 2008, to cater for the large amount of persons using free techniques and writing articles, Kyle and Carson rolled out a software they had been working on for a while - Rapid Writer.

Rapid Writer, which is Wealthy Affiliate's article writing software tool allows writers to 'spin' their articles, write and modify PLR content and create highly optimized content for your website.

The tool has a wide range of features, from researching top listings and suggesting which keywords to writer your articles for to showing keyword density as you write the article, Rapid Writer goes toe to toe with similar tools such as Instant Article Wizard.

Along with this addition came the price increase, from $29 monthly fee to $39, due to the fact that the membership was largely underpriced for the amount of value presented. It still is but Kyle and Carson genuinely wants to help internet marketers succeed.

To learn more about the new article marketing tool, visit the Rapid Writer page on Wealthy Affiliate and stay tuned as the top 7 highlights of Wealthy Affiliate continue tomorrow.
